So you all probably saw the post below, it is amazing!  If you go to the website you will then have to click the link above on “videos” and scroll down for miracle mom!  Also you could google Lori Smith Miracle mom and see a video that way or read about her.  As i had said yesterday the Today Show with Matt Lauer will be interviewing her either tomorrow morning (live) or monday morning so if you are interested and up that early, check it out!!

I am under the weather due to a sinus infection, i go tomorrow for medication.  I will be getting back to beads on Monday so stay tuned next week for some cool beads, kay?

If you go to www.local12.com , you will see Lori leave the hospital and the news of her miracle.  It is right at the top of the page.  Yahoo, how cool is this news?  She has also been talked to by the today show and will have an interview via satellite with matt lauer.  I will post this when i find out when, i think it might happen f

I have great news, I went and saw Lori today at Drake and she is leaving for home tomorrow.  She is almost completely normal in the sense of normal like you or I on the surface.  She says she has some issues with indepth reasoning, like complex math problems (I know, SHE said it, not me, ha).  She was moving so fast down the hall today that they told her to slow down walking.  WOW is all i have to say, she totally blew my mind in her abilities.  It was like I was talking to her before it even happened.  She appears completely perfect, i was speechless, well, I could never be speechless (ha), but almost~~She told me that the doctors want to write about her and her recovery in medical journals.  It is unbelievable how far she has come.  It is with the prayers from everyone, including all of you that God was merciful and brought her back to her family.  I am amazed at how tireless her husband, her mom and dad and inlaws were at supporting her every hour upon hour this last two months.  When i think of my Uncle Laurel feeding her baby food, it just swells this emotion inside of me that a parent knows.  We never know what God’s plan is, but it for sure was his plan for Lori to continue on in this incredibly complex world.  I thank him for all of the plans that have been set in motion through this story.  It is horrifying that the doctors wanted to unplug her and inspiring that through the will of her family, they never gave up on her.  Thank you again for all of the prayers.  I am going to take my camera in a few days and visit her at her home, she told me to come over in two days.  I am very sure that she will not be ready for my visit as she is an overachiever and assumes that she will be able to multitask and visit with me at the same time.  Who knows, maybe my jaw will drop again~~  I will post the pictures at that time, that way you can see my cousin Lori and her baby Delilah Grace Smith.  talk soon!

Alright, so this is NOT the prettiest of beads, but i really love the stone look i got on the base of it!  It looks like something you dug up and polished.  I was just playing around and kind of ended up with this ugly contraption of a bead.  I like that the silver color worked, i like that the raku worked, i hate that the murrini smeared, and the lines, ugh!  By then it was just time to pop it in the kiln to see if the silver color popped under the clear and the base turned out like i wanted it to (color).  I get so impatient with my non focal attitude.  This will go in my bad bead urn!!  I am going to play some more, i will have some really cool looking beads when i return to Yelton’s hopefully!  Enjoy your day, hopefully you will be as cozy as these three amigos on this chilly winter day!!!

Well, the latest is that Lori is able to feed herself somewhat.  She is still not able to really work the left arm well and she is in physical therapy.  She is talking and from what i understand, she will be going home in a week or two.  Can you all believe that?  What a trooper that girl is!  I really need to get down to see her in the next day or so, i feel so bad for not going lately.  Thank you all for your support, a lot of you have emailed me and asked me at the troll trunk show about her and it makes me feel good that you all care. 

The show was fun because it gives me a chance to see how people are wearing my beads.  It really is amazing to see how well they go with Troll and how people love buying my bigger beads to coordinate with their troll beads.  Everyone is so creative with their beads.  Take for example;  Ellen Walsh loves wearing my beads and she is truly creative with them.  She brought her son Sam with her and he was able to pick up the beads (she brought her stash, hee hee) and tell me what colors were in each one.  He is sooooo cute, he would say “Turquoise” and i laughed.  I told her she at least had a reason for buying so many beads.  Her son’s learning depends on it, ha!!

ummmmm, “Houston, we have a problem”!!  Ha ha, you know i love ya Ellen!  However, notice the wonderful way in which she puts them all together around her neck, all joking aside, that is pretty great!  Even I have never worn my beads that creatively!  Kudos to you Ellen!!

I have to talk about the “Taj Mahal”!!  That is what i call Lezlie’s collaberative kalypso/troll creation on a Moxie (Yelton’s) stock!  That is 2 inches of beads!!

Hey everyone, I guess you all have been wondering why i have become soooo boring and non existent lately???  Well, things have been hectic and I have not really had a lot to say lately.  You know, life has its days, or weeks??  The trunk show is over and I am really happy that everyone seem to love the beads.  Unfortunately, i left my camera there and will pick it up tomorrow so then you will be able to see all of the great pictures i took of how customers are wearing my beads.  Trust me when i say, you ladies are not shy about how much glass you have on at any given moment, ha!  I LOVE it, I just absolutely enjoy the heck out of seeing my beads, i even see people wearing beads i made a long time ago and think ?ooohhhhh, i remember that bead and then she says “oh this is the —— bead”!  You guys even remember the names, I am floored!  So, yeah, i have not had many videos, pictures, communication lately BUT I will be back on in a day or two with the trunk show pics.  Stay tuned!!!

We are having more snow and I love it!!!!!  I must be the only one!  I know my turkeys were out there today (see pic) and digging for green underneath the snow to find food.  I went out and put food out there but they took off, oh well, they will be back for it later.  Besides, there is another gang on the otherside of the house next door that wants to come over so i am sure they will be around later.  I have been making a few flower beads lately and I do not know why.  i generally do not like flower beads but hopefully some of you will.  It is not that i do not like flowers, they are too girly girl for me.  Who knows, this is new, maybe I will make a few each time i go to yelton’s.  I received this email today from my peep Kelly Peery!  She sent it to me because she knew i loved animals.  All you have to do is go there and click the button each day and you will help the animals receive free bowls of food from the food manufacturers.  There are other clicks for other special groups as well.  It is all good!!!  Well, enjoy your day everyone and talk soon!!!!!

Do you have those days where you just want to stare at the tv and drink coffee?  Or, just run back and jump in bed after everyone leaves?  OR BOTH??  Well, that is how i am feeling today, i seriously doubt if anything is going to get done, or at least anything before 2:45 pm (that is when i have to go trudge up the hill in my car and get Anna from school).  Are you all feeling sorry for me yet?  I did’nt think so!!  Well enjoy this video and i will take some pics today ok?  Wow, one more week and a couple a days till the show!!!  YAY!!

Soooo, the ice melted off of the trees and roof tops today but it was so pretty!  I made myself go out and snap a few pics yesterday before it was gone.  A Winter Wonderland is what it was!  I love the snow, and i even like driving in it.  I love snow days, I love it all, IF my car is warmed up though.  The only thing about winter i hate is getting into the freezing cold car and having my teeth and body chatter!!!  Ugh!  Well, no pics today of beads, stay tuned.  I am off to hottub for some soaking and then to get the pork chops out of the oven!  “Pork chopsssss and apple saaaaauce”….
