Well, the past few months have been hard, very hard for me!  I have had a lot more stress in my life than i normally do.  Ive had a home sale, renters who damaged my home i moved back to totalling 38k, and a bunch of lies told by my realtor to the new owners of our previous home, who in turn have been creating quite a bit of grief in our lives.  HOWEVER, and I say that with moxy!  However, I refuse to continue to carry this stress any longer!  Ive always been a pretty nice person who in turn loves to be nice to other people in life.  Its not that i have to, its that i want to.  I love to give, i love to laugh, i love to be a good person.  A decent person and quite frankly its very hard to understand when people are just not good, not considerate and caring!  I have been disappointed in people in general!  I have been searching for a better outcome to the last few months and i decided that with the help of God and my decision to be positive that I am in control of ME, and whatever anyone does, however angry anyone is, I do not have to give in to that, I can simply pray for them and let it go!  Even though there has been injustice that could have been worked out by talking, communicating even an eensy teensy bit, I am going to accept it and just move on.  So there, Ive said it, and Im moving on, whew, that feels good!  I will hope for anger in others to move on as well, it really is damaging and I have life to get back to.  I have a wonderful husband, two beautiful daughters and three furry little guys with four legs in my life and that really is all that matters, not being right!!! 

Ok the positives, i have lost 10 pounds, yay, my studio is back, yay, my new home feels cozy just like it did all the previous years i lived in it, yay, my neighbors are the same and have missed me as much as i have missed them, yay, i have alot less house to clean, yay, i have the front porch i always loved with the birch tree that always has birds in it, yay, the kids next door buzzing around, yay and last but certainly not least, I have great friends who love me and I them!!!

So this is what i have had on my brain.  Lots of color, lots of murrini beads that you will never see anyone else make, lots of new Vera patterns for fall and of course some that go with the summer collection as well.  Im in love with the fall patterns and colors, oh my the ones with the olive colors and loving the black with the primary colors.  Oh and the one with the blue/brown with a school bus yellow color????  Are you all excited as well?  Please get your orders in!!!  Im ready to take off and make my best beads to date, well, once i wake up these rusty fingers!!  So start making some buzz at Yelton’s would ya?

Ok, Im loving color, my puppy, my new home (or my old home which ever), a good dark beer or bloody mary, sunkissed tan, my family, my new outlook on life and sitting by the pool reading a great book!!!!  Tell me what you love……..

Well, i finally sold the house, packed it over a three month time period, moved this past weekend and now I am unpacking.  This year has been a total lack of regard for my beads and this blog!!  I am so sorry but life got in the way and I am finding my way back through the thickets and Wildebeasts!

Anyhoo, I am not sure if there are any beads at Yelton’s but i assume there are old ones!  My studio is unassembled in the basement and you cannot move down there, however there is a silver lining in this whole thing.  I miss making beads and look forward to a time when i can just wake up, get my coffee, kiss my dogs and wander to the studio with an abundance of creative ideas and beads lingering in my brain and just itching to get out!  My hubby is telling me that my studio will be put back together, along with holes through my brick to pipe my propane and oxy into the house and a huge hole to vent out all of the bad stuff that burns when i melt those pretty colors of glass!  It is much smaller than the other but I really did not need all of that room did I?  I have windows and glass doors and so as long as i can see into the outside (thats a weird statement) world, than i am good with everything!!! 

Ok, i am leaving for Vegas to unwind from this long winded move (yeah, not really the unwinding kinda place, but it will do), and when i get back i am pushing for it to get done and start melting some glass!  I miss it so much, its weird when you do not have a creative outlet because you get backed up, kinda like Agustas Gloop in the chocolate river, and then all of a sudden, POW!!!!!!!

Have a great week!  I hopefully will find my voice on this blog eventually and you all will actually have something to follow.  I might even put some funny stuff on here again!  Now that would be good since i have really let you all down in that department!

]]> http://kalypsobeads.com/blog/2010/04/30/blahhhhhhh/feed/ WOW is all i can say! http://kalypsobeads.com/blog/2010/04/14/wow-is-all-i-can-say/ http://kalypsobeads.com/blog/2010/04/14/wow-is-all-i-can-say/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 18:43:47 +0000 Steph http://kalypsobeads.com/blog/2010/04/14/wow-is-all-i-can-say/ How the heck have you been?  I have been so busy with life and have not success in journaling on my blog consistently is so long that i have to remember that i have it.  Soooo, made some beads yesterday and really excited about them.  pics to follow shortly!  My puppy Alvin who came into my life the first week of January has probably been the biggest distraction i have had in all areas of my life.  He is now going on 6 months and is doing quite well!  He loves me to death and of course i will not turn THAT down and i feel the same.  My family truly believes i love him more than the other dogs now and i have to admit, i kinda do.  He is such a special little guy and the new toy syndrome has STILL not worn off.  I have put a lot of effort into him because he is so little and takes a lot of time, just like a baby.  However, things are now settling down and he fits in well.  He used to never stop moving but now has started taking naps in the daytime more.  He got fixed last week and you would have never known it except for the drugged appearance the first day!!  ha ha!!  He did not even lick it and wear that cone of shame on his head.  I have to tell you the truth, that was what i dreaded the most, that cone!!! Please let Yelton's know if you are looking for that special "shiny bright summery" focal!!!  Remember, i can make anything to match any of the Vera Bradley fabrics.  The black and white one, love it!!  i bought one of the leather bracelets that wrap of troll and made black and white small beads to go along it and a big black and white focal to wear with my new bag!!!!!That purple Vera pattern is yummy and i have so many purples to pull from, just let them knowwwwww!  Also the one with all of the colors in it that has turquoise and coral, awwwwww, dreamy!!  Custom is the way to go!!

Hey, watch this video, i find it fascinating.  Life can really throw you through some loops sometimes but you just have to adapt and roll with the punches, watch this guy, he's got it down to a science

I love this picture, it reminds me of my black and white beads, idk why but it just does!!!  Oh yeah, my beads will be delivered on friday to Yeltons!  There are 20 of them, maybe more if i torch tomorrow!  They are the pictures you see below you!!  Have a wonderful evening, it is beautiful outside!

march2010-009.JPGThe sun is shining, and i am happy with my beads!  These dot beads are tedious and take quite a bit of experience to make these small dots with precision.  They remind me of seed beads and those indian woven necklaces i used to get when i visited those parts of the country as a small girl.  Oh, i remember the ones that had the big circle that i cherished as i skipped down the street in my moccasins with my precious keepsake around my neck.  These remind me of those memories and i am really excited to do these on a large scale.  They will flatter your bracelets wonderfully or buy them all and make a necklace, oh and dont forget to order a big focal to top it off!!

march2010-011.JPG  I have continued the theme with a couple of black and whites with a pattern , zig zag and a diamond pattern around the circumference of the bead.  I was playing and will continue to perfect this. 

 march2010-004.JPGOh, and the wonderful purple i have gotten out of the bottom bead with wonderglass and the murrini bead with lapis, yummmmm, reminds me of a grape popsicle.  The top bead is wonderglass and it is so striated with teals and blue and purple that you will love this bead.  I am going to make more, and of course a seed bead bead!!!! 

Did anyone notice that there is a girl on american idol that does what i do?????  Im rooting for her because of that, i just get her, she is different and can hit that earth shattering note.  I am sure she learned that while sitting in her studio with a loud blast of gas coming out of her torch, followed by loud fans ventilating the harmful vapors.  She still has to have her loud music as well.  I sing all the time really loud, ha ha!!  ok, have a great day and i will let you know when i am taking these, i still have more beads to make though, any suggestions????
