I absolutely love bright fun moments in life that make you laugh so hard you cry. So when I decided to make glass beads it was because of my love of color that I associated with “happy feelings”!

How I learn!!!

These are pictures of the classes that I take and the beads I learn in their classes!  Class beads are never good but they are fun to make.  Learning for me is the funnest part of this whole experience.  Meeting the artists that I take classes from is a humbling event in my life because I can catch a glimpse of where I am going and also where my teachers have come from!!!!  I hope to have more pictures soon!

dsc00738resize300.jpg This is the “lovely” Kim Fields.  She is in the front stooped down in the black t-shirt!!!  If you have not seen her florals, oh my gosh they are beautiful, along with her birds, and all of her other beads.  This was an intense class because she is very meticulous in her work and there is a lot of cane building for her florals.  A lot of tedious work!  I completely respect her art!!! WOW!

septoct2007-014resize300.jpg This is Jennifer Geldard the “Free spirit”.  She is a hoot if you cannot tell by the picture, she is fun and ”oh my gosh”, she loves thai and turkish food!  Yum, I still cannot go for the bubble tea, ugh!  The thought of drinking while eating little gelatinous things on the bottom really grossed me out…. anyhoo,  we had a blast in this class.  One of the things i loved about her was the fact that she makes absolutely beautiful beads but does not take herself too serious!  I wondered in class if she knew where she was going while making a bead because it was kind of like a journey, but then, it did not matter because the journey was complete.  Such beauty!!!

mybeads-019resizecolor.jpgThe “Humble and Sweet” Dustin Tabor and “Fun, Wacky and Colorful” Stephanie Sersich!!!!  My favorite class EVER!!  This class had so much energy and the people just fed off each other creatively!  I will definately take another one of their classes not only for the fresh and funkiness of their beads and collaberations but for the gut wrenching muscle pain I felt after laughing so much for 4 days!!!

I do not have a picture of Andrea Guarino because i forgot my camera!  However, her class was so inspiring beyond belief.  I would love to take her silver master class sometime.

My class with Kristina Logan was wonderful and she is delightful!!!  My class beads!!! ugh!!

CORINA TETTINGER corinawashington-055resize.jpg  I paid for private classes and went on a journey to Washington to stay with her from September 1 - september 5th 2008!!!  Well, you can always check out my blog somewhere on one of the pages and read the entire happy story of my time with her or take it short and simple right here.  In a nutshell, she was gracious, funny, witty and extremely knowledgeable of glass.  I learned everything I wanted to learn and hopefully will master, and we generally just had fun and got along great.  I consider myself a friend and will probably get my butt back out to see her as soon as I can!!!  I would love for her to come here and give classes to this side of the country!  Hopefully Inspired Fire and The Gathering Place will book her and you all will have the pleasure of working with her, she has a smile that will light up any room!!!!  ok then, no pics yet, stay tuned!

corinabeads-025resize.jpgcorinabeads-027dichroic.jpg these dichroic beads are so cool in real life, bad lighting.  I made the big one on the bottom the rest are corina and look at the lovely little guy at the top, what should i name him?????  email me or comment on my blog, i need a name

corinabeads-028lizard.jpgI love this guys attitude, it’s like “yo dude, do you mind not staring at my quark?”  The inside of the bead is called a quark, Corina does some awesome stuff with her ideas.  check them out at her site.

corinabeads-035corina.jpgI had to have these, they are for fall and i cannot wait to make a cool bracelet!!!

So, if you want to read the full story of my visit with corina and what is behind the beads made just go to my blog and go through the pages and you will find it.  As of sept9, 08 it is on the first page at the top!!!  hey though don’t pass the videos you see along the way, i pride myself in funny or inspirational material!!!
